A HIT and run driver is urgently sought by police after a crash in Tunbridge Wells left a motorcyclist needing hospital treatment.

The smash on the A26 Eridge Road, at the junction with Broadwater Lane, happened just before 6.30pm on Thursday last week.

The car pulled out of Broadwater Lane and hit the motorcycle travelling out of Tunbridge Wells on the A26.

The driver failed to stop.

The biker was taken to Kent and Sussex hospital where he was treated for minor injuries. Investigating officer Pc Jamie Woodhams said: "If you saw the collision or have any information about the car please contact police. Although the young man riding the motorcycle did not suffer serious injuries it could have been far worse."

Anyone with information can contact police on 07870 252462 or Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
