"It is led by Dean Elliott, who played the lead in Buddy on the West End stage more than 400 times and has performed to great acclaim for Buddy Holly's family in Lubbock, Texas.

"This fresh and exciting cast put on a show that is guaranteed to get you on your feet singing along and dancing in the aisles."

The group were labelled "Buddy brilliant" by TV presenter Graham Norton when they appeared on his chat show, and are currently embarking on a UK tour.

The LCH spokesman said: "Buddy Holly wrote some of the most enduring rock and roll classics – That'll Be The Day, Rave On, True Love Ways, Peggy Sue, Oh Boy! and many more.

"From an era when the stars worked together and influenced each other, this show features all of Buddy's classics plus the greatest hits from legends of the 50s and 60s including Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Eddie Cochran, Jerry Lee Lewis, Roy Orbison, The Everly Brothers, Little Richard and The Beatles.

"Starring some of the finest actor-musicians in the business, whose combined West End credits include Buddy, Lennon, Return To The Forbidden Planet, Jailhouse Rock and Sunday In The Park With George, this fast, furious and funny roller-coaster of a concert always has audiences on their feet."
