OAP in hospital after Westgate crash
AN ELDERLY woman was airlifted to a London hospital after she was seriously injured in a road traffic accident in Westgate.
The woman, in her 80s was hit by a Rover car at 11.20am at the junction of Canterbury and Minster Road.

A police spokesman said: “Her injuries are believed to be life threatening.”
The woman suffered leg and abdominal injuries and was flown by Kent Air Ambulance to hospital in London .
The top of Minster Road and Linksfield Road were closed while police investigate d the scene.
Police are calling for anyone with information to contact Kent Police on 01622 690690.

“Obviously it's not the car I was worried about but more the fact that my family were in it !
The elderly lady has since died, so if it wasn't for the driver doing 40mph on the wrong side of the road you wouldn't be needing to pray for anyone !”

“Whether he had been smoking cannabis or not, the idiot driving missed my wifes car by an inch, he should be the one left in a critical condition not the poor inicent old lady who was walking on the pavement. If she dies he can live with it for the rest his life !”
