New mosaic at Kent College Pembury
PUPILS from Kent College Pembury helped a professional artist design and create a mosaic for the wall of the school's swimming pool.
The Parents' Association commissioned local artist Oliver Budd to produce the work and pupils from Year 8 created collages to inspire his final design.
Mr Budd then worked with girls from Years 7, 8 and 9 to create the mosaic, which will be installed over Easter.
Head of Art at the Old Church Road school Stephen Brown said: "Oliver Budd's two week residency proved to be a real success with all the girls at Kent College.
"Having a visiting artist from Kent with so much experience and craftsmanship has really helped to promote the subject within school and should inspire the girls to create greater things with their own work."
