A NEW head teacher has taken over Lydd Primary School after its former principal stepped down earlier this month.

Andrea Charman became the victim of a vicious hate campaign on Facebook and other websites after the school council voted to send Marcus the sheep for slaughter.

Advisory head Penny Haynes started on Monday.
