Young Freya Rhodes has found the key to musical success by scooping four top Kent prizes.

The 10-year-old also received four top awards gaining two first places for her piano recital and the jazz and interpretation categories plus a second place and two distinctions for her contributions to the 10 years and under categories of the competition.

Freya, 10, who has two sisters, said: "I’ve been playing for about two years now. I’ve always wanted to play the piano. I have lessons at school and I also play the flute and guitar. I find playing music relaxing and chill out listening to Classic FM. Some of my friends like classical music too but most of them like pop."

Freya, of Fitzroy Avenue, Kingsgate, is now looking forward to bagging even more prizes in the future. She is soon to take further flute, piano and singing exams and hopes to continue her studies at university and follow a musical career.

When not playing music Freya enjoys ballet at the Page Mason School of Dancing in Broadstairs and entering her 10 month old puppy into dog shows.

The feisty singer also manages to squeeze in performing in the school choir and taking fencing lessons.
