PUPILS at St Gregory's Catholic Primary School in Margate marked 100 days until the start of the Olympic Games with a spectacular hula-hooping event.

A hundred children, aged between five and 11, took to the school's playground last Wednesday to perform a routine to music.

The whole school had practiced the sequence and the 100 children who could hula hoop for the whole length of time were chosen to perform in the 100-day countdown.

Pat Gregory assistant head teacher at the school said: "This was a very exciting but windy afternoon.
