Motorists urged to be cautious as cold snap hits Kent
AN ICE alert has been issued for the county's roads as Kent braces itself for sub-zero temperatures overnight.
Kent Highways has advised drivers to stay alert for icy roads this evening as temperatures fall below freezing point.
All major roads are to be treated by road gritters, but caution is still being urged by the authority.
The ice alert reads: "Motorists are advised to watch out for icy patches/stretches particularly on the untreated roads overnight and tomorrow morning, and should expect the surface to be slippery.
