Police want to speak to the driver of an orange car who could hold vital clues to a High Brooms accident which left a five-year-old hospitalised.

Officers also want to hear from anyone who saw the accident last Wednesday at 3.30pm on Powder Mill Lane near St Matthew's School.

PC Dave Lamberth said: "I would like to speak to the driver of an orange vehicle that was parked on the school side of the road around the time the incident happened as he or she may have additional information that would help the investigation. Also if there are any other witnesses we have not yet spoken to I would be pleased to hear from them."

The boy who was hurt after he was in collision with a car is still in hospital but making a good recovery, said police.

Any witnesses should telephone PC Lamberth can be contacted on 01732 379217.
