FRESHWATER catch reports this week have seen some excellent sport.

Sandwich Coarse Fishery’s Victory Lake saw Sam Murphy bank a new personal best mirror of 24lb on matrix over pellet at night.

Alan Hague also fished Victory to bank a PB of 26lb 11oz on meat.

Damson and Victoria match lakes have seen good sport with Rob Dalziel banking an impressive 17 bream to 6lb in four hours for a total weight of 96lb.

The next open is to be fished on April 18.

Cottington’s Lake Pepper produced four fish for brothers Ricky and Dave, including two 20s and a mirror of 32lb 8oz on mainline cell.

Kevin Thomas managed a 29lb common on CC Moore.

Tony Payne banked a brace of 20s to 28lb on premier camos.

Carl Booth bagged a ghostie of 14lb.

The next Cottington open is to be fished on Black Lake on Sunday. The draw is at 8.30am, fishing from 10am-3pm.
