Medway drunk jailed for breaching his Asbo after just one day
A HOMELESS drunk slapped with an Asbo after defecating and begging in Chatham has today been jailed for breaching the order after just one day.
Steven Michael Brierley was given the antisocial behaviour order on Friday after magistrates heard he had regularly drank, begged, urinated and defecated in the town centre.

Steven Michael Brierley was given the antisocial behaviour order after magistrates heard he had regularly drank, begged, urinated and defecated in Chatham
The court banned the 36-year-old from being drunk in public and from entering certain areas of Chatham.
Speaking after the hearing, PC Paul Billings from the Medway Neighbourhood Team said the order would allow Kent Police “to deal robustly with Steven Brierley” and his drunken behaviour. Little did he know how soon that prophesy would come true.

“I'm sure PC Billings had an opinion about the worth of ASBOs prior to this nonsense but had to spout the normal ploddley**** which impressively included the word 'robustly', if he could have got in 'resilience' and 'transparency' he'd have won 'plodspeak bingo'.
What a waste of police time this nonsense has been - still I wonder when we'll read all about Mr Brierley again - 2 weeks?”
