Martin Larkin: We must turn our anger into a win
MARTIN Larkin has told his players to channel their frustration in the right way and go out and get a positive result this afternoon.
Tunbridge Wells are understandably still seething that their FA Vase fifth round tie at Larkhall Athletic was postponed last Saturday morning. Wells had made the trip down to Bath on the Friday evening, with the hotel and coach costing in the region of £2,000. It ended up being money down the drain as the hosts called off the game due to an unplayable surface.
"It's more frustration than anything," Larkin said. "We were there and prepared - we were good to go. We hadn't had much rain around, so I don't think it was too much of a gamble to travel down. There's no way their pitch was any worse than ours.
"All the players are fully aware of the outlay on the hotel and coach. I'm sure we'll use it to motivate us a little bit. But we can't get away from the fact that when everyone is fit and good to go, we have got a really good team here. We will be concentrating on what we can do."

Unsurprisingly Wells slumped out of the Kent League Cup on Tuesday evening. Trailing Lordswood 4-1 after the first-leg, the two sides played out a tame 1-1 draw.
Larkin was disappointed to exit the competition, but with a Vase game on the horizon he was taking no chances, and fielded a changed line-up.
"Being in so many cup competitions something had to give at some point," Larkin said. "Now we can put all our attention on the other three.
"We're excited ahead of this weekend. With a home quarter-final a week later, that is the real motivation. I just have to say to the lads 'do you want to play at home in front of 1,000 fans or play a league game away?'"
