Marking a decade in town
BEAUTY salon owner Marika Zacharia threw a party to celebrate ten years in Herne Bay.
When she launched her shop in the Broadway in 2002 it was the town's second beauty shop. Now there are six.

But Marika, 35, is still smiling as she launches new tanning and make-up lines.
She said: "It's been tough at times but I've been here for a full ten years and wanted to celebrate."

She set up a gazebo and treated customers to Champagne and cake.
Marika added: "The salon has been redecorated and I have launched two new lines, including Italian make-up company RVB. If you get the wrong make-up for your skin it can be an expensive mistake."
She runs make-up demonstrations as well as reflexology, massage, and hot-stone therapies.
She said: "It was great to see so many friends and customers turn-up for some bubbly and cake."
