​A MARGATE florist is dressing up in drag as an ode to his fashion designer mum on Mother’s Day.

Thomas Reeve, 29, is breaking out a bombshell blonde wig and zany zebra-pattern tights to celebrate the event on Sunday.

The florist, whose been in the old town for almost three years, said: “I was looking through some old pictures of when I was young and loved all the 80s styles on show, so I went shopping and got some clothes to pay tribute to her.”

His mum Lindsay, who designed the outfit for 1973’s Miss World, is said be very impressed.

Mother’s Day cannot come soon enough for the isle’s after Valentine’s Day fell on a Sunday this year denting trade.
