M20 to remain closed until this evening following lorry crash
MOTORISTS are being urged to avoid the M20 coastbound at Ashford as the road remains closed following last night's lorry crash.
Kent Police says the carriageway near junction nine is likely to remain closed until around 6pm this evening as two of the lorries need to be unloaded before they can be removed.
A significant diesel spillage has also caused serious damage to the carriageway which will need to be repaired.
Two lorry drivers were taken to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford with serious injuries. The other two drivers were unhurt in the smash.
