Lifeboat brings back Victorian 'vice'
THE Victorian tradition of the gin palace is being revived in Margate for St George's Day.
The Lifeboat landlord, Julian Newick, has picked a superb selection of English gins to mark the occasion.
Mr Newick, 38, said: "Ale and cider is our main staple but we wanted to celebrate the fine English tradition of gin, and what better day to enjoy it than St George's Day.
"All the gin on offer comes from independent English distillers and have such a variety of flavours.
