Leaders delighted despite having the day off
Rochester League
HAPPIEST of all the Rochester League top flight teams on Saturday were Hollands & Blair. And they weren't even playing.
They might have been kicking their heels, but the title ambitions of two challengers were seemingly kicked into touch.
Second placed Park Regis were shaded 2-1 at home by Cannon, while BaE Systems came unstuck by a 2-1 margin at Lordswood Athletic.
Matt Keat got both of their goals.
Veteran Nigel Pointon struck twice as Gillingham Green won 2-0 at Evolution, while a Richard Nash double brought FC Quayside a valuable 2-1 result at Medway City to maintain their outside hopes of honours.
