Knitting duo call on Thanet folk to help with Geek project
CRAFTY duo Jenny Duff and Emily Tull, collectively known as KnitKnitKnitKnitter are calling for people to take part in their knitted ghost project which will take place during Games Expo East Kent (Geek).
The pair are being inspired by 1980s cult classic Pacman and his ghostly enemies and will lead a ghost making family workshop on Sunday, February 24.

Coloured wool required: red, pale pink, orange or pale blue.
Using number 5 needles and double knitting wool, cast on 48 stitches. Knit 40 rows.
Cut the yarn so that you have a tail 8 inches long.
Using a wool sewing needles thread the yarn through the stitches and pull tight (this makes the top of the head), then sew down the back seam.
Using a fairly large crochet hook attach the yarn to where you have made the seam, crochet a chain of 15 stitches and attach to the base of the ghost 8 (knitted) stitches along from the seam (so that it loops), crochet 5 more 15 stitch chains and attach at 8 stitch intervals, so that the last loop joins back to the seam.
Using black felt tip pen draw eyeballs onto 2 white felt circles and sew in place.
And there you have it – a Pacman "ghost".
