Kinnear raids Cray again for latest signing Whitnell
MARGATE boss Chris Kinnear said last week he hoped to have two more signings in the coming days and one of them has been announced.
Fellow Ryman Premier side Cray Wanderers have been raided by Margate for the second time in a week with striker Tommy Whitnell signing for The Blues.
He follows hot on the heels of midfielder Sam Long.
Whitnell has been signed to score the goals that were sadly lacking for Margate in the second half of last season after Kwesi Appiah left for Crystal Palace.

Whitnell bagged 25 goals in 48 appearances for Cray last season, a strike rate better than one goal every two games.
Ironically, his last two goals for Cray came in their 3-1 win against Margate in April, the same day Sam Long also scored for his former club.
Whitnell was a regular goal scorer with Blue Square Bet South Welling United after leaving Cray for the first time.
But after finding his options limited at the club, he left in 2010 for Maidstone United. He then moved on to Croydon Athletic before re-signing for Cray for the 2011/12 season.
Maragte boss Chris Kinnear said: "I am looking to strengthen across the board. We have got a couple of players in already to do that but there is still a fair bit of work to do until I am completely satisfied with the squad."
