FRESHWATER catch reports this week include Sandwich Coarse Fisheries' Victory lake where Tony Reeve of Ramsgate landed a superb mirror of 26lb 8oz on lemon boilie fished over pellet.

Gerry Cooke also had success when he banked seven carp, including a mirror of 18lb on shellfish boilie and pellet.

Damson and Victoria match lakes have also seen some good sport, with Richard Pulton landing nine carp to 8lb and seven bream to 5lb on waggle fished maggot over groundbait.

Kingfisher disabled access lake saw Dave Hunt of Sandwich bank 11 carp to 5lb in a short afternoon session on feeder fished pellet.

Cottington's Lake Pepper has seen excellent carp action this week, Tom Leeks landing eight carp, with four 20s to 28lb.

Lake Christine has produced, Martin King catching a 32lb mirror on cell boilie.

The latest Sandwich Bait and tackle match was fished on the Rother. Results: 1st Tony Eversfield 21lb, 2nd John Cashman, 3rd Trevor Baker.

Sandwich Angling Club's Swallow Brook water is hosting a charity match on Sunday.

Entry is £12, with £5 going to the Children in Need appeal. To enter, call Steve on 01304 380691. This event promises to be an excellent day.

Sea angling reports show good early codling to 7lb being landed of Broadstairs, along with smaller bass.

The productive times have been late evening or after dark fishing worm and squid baits.

Sandwich Bay has also seen good bags, with codling and small bass being the main target.

Ramsgate main stretch is throwing up bigger bass and whiting.
