Invitation to comment on Tonbridge and Malling wards
THE deadline is approaching for residents to have their say on how many councillors represent their area and how wards are divided across the borough of Tonbridge and Malling.
The Local Government Boundary Commission for England is asking people to comment on draft proposals, aiming to ensure that each borough councillor represents a similar number of voters.
As part of the plans, the two wards of Ightham and Wrotham would be combined with Stansted. As the largest ward, Kings Hill would have an extra council representative, bringing the total number to three.
Full details of the recommendations are available at www.lgbce.org.uk and from the borough council offices in Gibson Drive, Kings Hill.
