AN INQUEST has today heard how a three-year-old boy drowned in a neighbour's pond in Dover.

Tragic Freddie Watmough died on May 23 last year after wandering away from his family home in Victoria Road.

The hearing at Dover Coroner's Court  heard how the youngster was discovered face-down in the pond after his family raised the alarm.

Attempts by the emergency services to revive the toddler were unsuccessful.

A verdict of accidental death was returned by Coroner Rachel Redman, who described the little boy's death as a "tragic accident" and extended her condolences to the family.
