A goal in each half gave VCD Athletic an eventually reasonably comfortable 2-0 win over hosts Hythe at Reachfields and swung the Kent League title race very much in favour of the north Kent visitors with two games left for each of the main protagonists.

Hythe now need to beat both third in the table Holmesdale and Slade Green to stand any chance of the title, while VCD have somewhat easier games against two sides going nowhere - Deal Town and Norton Sports.

Ex-Fisher Athletic striker Leroy Huggins got both the goals for VCD - the second from the penalty spot after an alleged foul in the box on Luke May.
