Hosts make a racquet at school tournament
THE cream of school tennis gathered at Sevenoaks Clarendon Club to battle for the IAPS trophy.
Hosted by Russell House, this annual tournament has become a fixture in the schools' tennis diary.
This year the competition attracted girls' and boys' teams from IAPS schools as far afield as Dulwich Prep, Cranbrook and Kent College Pembury, as well as local teams from schools including New Beacon, St Michael's and Granville.
Competing in pairs, 42 children played first against competitors in their box, before box winners then competed in the semi finals. The standard was ferocious and all the boys and girls showed great determination to win as they went from court to court, often playing long matches with short breaks in between.

Final results were: Girls: Russell House I first, Kent College I second and Russell House II third.
In the boys' event, New Beacon I came first, Dulwich Prep I second and Dulwich Prep II third.
