Holmewood strike gold

ONE HUNDRED and sixty gymnasts from all over the South East converged on Holmewood House School, at Langton Green, Tunbridge Wells, to compete in the Gymnastics Association's South East Region Championships on Sunday.

FAMOUS FIVE: Holmewood House's U10 team, who won the regional championship
The judges were extremely impressed by the standard of all of the teams and the decisions were very close.
Holmewood had a very successful day in both the regional and national sections of the competition, as all four teams came away with medals.
Their U10 team became the U11 Regional Champions with Antigone Savage and Charlotte Goodall tying for individual gold and Tilliana Kennedy in the silver medal position.
Their U11 mixed team also became regional champions with Anna Kelly emerging as top individual girl and Oliver Marshall second highest scoring boy.
The U13 team finished as silver medallists, achieving very consistent scores on both floor and vault. Amelia Tracey was their top-placed gymnast, performing with precision and flair on the floor and vaulting powerfully.
The U11 girls' team competed in the national section and also finished in silver medal position. Ines Deeley had a particularly impressive day, scoring in the high eights on both floor and vault.
