Director and producer Sophia Tarjomani said: “Everyone has worked really hard on this production, which is full of exciting dance routines and well harmonised musical numbers.”

Performers as young as six will take part under the direction of Sophia, choreographer Tara Gore and musical director Max Rennie.

Ben Stace, from Margate, is a pupil with Regency Productions’ performing arts school, and takes the lead role as Ren – a role he shares with James Jones. Dannielle Surrage and Alice Dawn-Vane both play Ariel, the feisty minister’s daughter.

Footloose runs from Thursday to Saturday, February 4 to 6 at The Winter Gardens in Margate. Shows start at 7.30pm with a 2.30pm Saturday matinee. Tickets cost £10 from the box office on 01843 292795.
