One of Whitstable Harbour's two fishmonger's has shut up shop.

Gilson's was today (Wednesday) displaying a notice announcing its closure, and the shop cabinets inside were empty.

Gilson's was associated with the Cardium Shellfish cockle processing business at the same site, which we understand has been sold to a Spanish company as a going concern.
