TWO young women are due to appear before a judge next week accused of subjecting a former friend to a prolonged and horrendous attack in a row over an ex-boyfriend.

Lucy Viner-Mood, 23, and Lois Gibson, 18, both of Homewood Road, Langton Green, are charged with unlawfully and injuriously imprisoning Georgia Fenn.

Miss Fenn's head was allegedly stamped on until she passed out, punched in the face and had her body burned with cigarettes.

It is also alleged her hair was cut off and burned in front of her.

The pair are also charged with causing grievous bodily harm to Miss Fenn.

The offences are alleged to have happened at the property Viner-Mood and Gibson shared on the outskirts of Tunbridge Wells between March 28 and 29.

The pair appeared at Sevenoaks Magistrates' Court on Wednesday last week for a bail hearing, when the charges were outlined.

Both women were led into the dock from custody and spoke only to confirm their names.

Gibson, wearing a blue tracksuit, sobbed throughout proceedings.

She and Viner-Mood were released on bail and are due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday.

Conditions of bail include no contact with Miss Fenn or any other witnesses and not to enter Kent or Sussex, except to meet with solicitors or attend court.
