Filling the sky with clamour and spectacle
FROM end to end, the Leas was packed solid. Thousands and thousands of people had flocked onto the grass and the seafront below to watch a spectacle the likes of which had not been seen in Folkestone for nine years.
After months of work, the airshow returned to the town on Saturday and those below roared their appreciation for every act.

The Red Arrows blazed across the sky in spectacular fashion, trails red white and blue in patriotic magnificence, followed by a programme of aerial displays worthy of the Queen herself.
A spokesman for Folkestone Town Centre Management, which organised the show with Evention Events, said: "A huge, huge thank you to the scores of people who turned out today. We've been touched by the great feedback we've received so far.
