Festival says it with flowers
SHIPBOURNE church was filled with flowers over the bank holiday weekend to celebrate the refurbishment of the Lady Vane chapel and the completion of work to the roof.
Member of the congregation Lynette Sargent suggested the idea for the flower festival as a celebration as one had not been held in the church for more than 20 years.

FLOWER FESTIVAL: The Rev Andrew Proctor and organiser Felicity Ward admire the offering from the Playchurch
Groups and organisations throughout the village were all given the title of a hymn to inspire them to create a floral arrangement for the church.
Miss Sargent said: "The church looked wonderful. There were about 25 displays and it was unbelievable."
