THANK YOU: Maureen Davis, of Hunt Road in Tonbridge, who would like to say a big thank-you to everybody who came to her aid when she slipped and fell on some ice
The 70-year-old said: "I slipped at the precinct near the post office and John Adams and immediately people looked after me.
"There were two ladies that were a great help and comfort and called an ambulance and then stayed with me.
"I didn't get a chance to thank them and haven't been able to and so I was hoping I could just say a big thanks to both of them."
Mrs Davis' slip occurred just after 10am on Monday and she was rushed immediately to the Kent and Sussex Hospital in Tunbridge Wells.
She added: "One man called Brian was really good too. He found my husband and lent him money to get to me.
"I just want to say a big thanks to all of them and praise their kindness. It restored my faith in human nature."
Mrs Davis, who lives with her husband Stan, explained she had bruising to her shoulder and buttocks as well as a bump to the head.
She also praised the hospital: "They were brilliant and dealt with me quickly and politely. The doctor has advised me to rest for three days now so that's what I'll be doing."
