FOLKESTONE skate park to be replaced by crazy golf course

A MINI tour of Folkestone will replace a skate park closed after numerous attacks by vandals.
Folkestone Sports Centre management has decided to replace the disused park with a hockey pitch and a crazy golf course featuring reproduction landmarks of the town.
The £50,000 skate park was opened six years ago but repeated attacks on the ramps led to the centre taking the decision to shut it permanently last year.
Centre manager Tessa Stickler said: "We were terribly sad when we had to close the skate park, but this is so exciting, it could be even better.
"There hasn't been anywhere to play crazy golf in Folkestone for years and this could prove very popular."
