BENENDEN Girls School is to build a detached eco-classroom in its grounds.

The school, in Cranbrook Road, has been granted permission by Tunbridge Wells Borough Council for an independent wildlife classroom.

The timber classroom will have an unheated covered space and toilets as it is so far from the main building. It will be linked via footpaths to the rest of the school and will have a planted, living roof.
