AT HOME to St Lawrence Canterbury lost all five triples played, going down 92-75 overall.

However they bounced back in their Forest of Blean League game with Ashford Town. Here the city club lost just two of the six triples played, winning the match 101 -60.

Canterbury picked up six league points for the win, Ashford went home with two.

At home to Civil Service, Canterbury won four and drew the other two of the six rinks played, winning the match 147-97.

CANTERBURY ladies met Folkestone in the third round of the Mollie Cleggett Competition.

The home team of Sally Blissett, Barbara White, Ros Cheeseman and Jean Bourner lost 12-20.

The away team of Jill Jenkins, Chrissie Barr, Sue Close and Carole Nelson also lost their game, 10-24.

City club ladies lost two and drew the third in their three triple game against Betteshanger, losing the match 36-60.

But they bounced back to win all three triples played in their home game against Gateway, winning the match 49-35.

AFTER a day of quality bowling the men's drawn pairs crown went to Tony Dobson and Norman Bourner who beat Malcolm Nicholson and Carl Akers in an 11-end final. It finished 19-15 to Akers and Nicholson.
