Driver hurt in accident in Gillingham

A DRIVER suffered minor injuries when her Mini was involved in a collision with a Nissan Almeria in Hoath Way on Thursday morning.

The victim was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital.

Traffic built up in the area after the accident, which happened at 8.15am at the Hempstead Valley roundabout.

The debris was cleared and all lanes reopened at 9.45am.

    “Car accidents should be zero, how on earth this happen? We should get more info. Was it bad driving, bad infrastructure.....could it have been prevented? How old was the driver 95 or 18? Could she have used another form of transport? We need preventative action and tougher driving tests.”
