A NON-UNIFORM day held by the Federation of the Downs and Northbourne Church of England primary schools has so far raised £375.

Children dressed up in traditional Ugandan attire and took part in activities at the Downs Primary School in Deal last Friday.

The Downs and Northbourne pupils and staff have been raising money with the Queens Road Baptist Church in Broadstairs for a school in Soroti, Uganda, to buy desks and redecorate the building.
