HOLD on to your umbrella – Chapterhouse Theatre Company is performing A Midsummer Night's Dream at Strode Park's open-air Theatre in the Park at Herne on Saturday.

Producers want members of the audience to turn up dressed as woodland fairies and elves.

If you can't get to the show the team return on Friday, August 13 with a new version of the fairytale Beauty and the Beast, starring Georgina Sherrington.

Georgina played accident-prone heroine Mildred Hubble in the children's television series The Worst Witch.

She has recently returned to the UK after training in theatre and working in Los Angeles.

She will play Louisa, a young 1940s evacuee who, along with her close friends, is inspired to create a new performance of Beauty and the Beast.

Georgina said: "I am incredibly excited to join Chapterhouse for the summer tour of Beauty and the Beast. This was one of my favourite stories when I was young.

"This new adaptation is sure to capture all the magic of the classic fairytale."

Children are invited to turn up in fancy dress to join the cast for a fairytale parade during the interval.
