Dover wins against France
MEMBERS of local sports clubs have triumphed over their French counterparts in the annual Dover-Calais Festival of Sport.
This year was Dover's turn to host the twinning event which saw 14 different teams from the French town sail across the Channel to compete in various sports from fencing, sea angling, shooting and snooker to darts, cheerleading, table tennis and the basketball competition was fierce but friendly.

CONTEST: Dover has won the annual Dover-Calais Festival of Sport for the first time in three years
But in a change of fortune from the past two years, Dover emerged victorious with a winning score of 19-9.
