“i cant descibe how horrible this makes me feel.
From my own point of view as a regular thanet cyclist i really would like to find out the real circumstances behind this collision....a number of questions are in my mind.....
In answer to the guy who said we need more cycle paths....although it would appear to make sense they really dont help. If you follow them round thanet you just end up having to negotiate around four times more junctions. Most cycling collisions happen at junctions (i know this one didnt). Browse onto john franklins cyclecraft website and he has all the detailed research from around the world to demonstrate more accidents when cyclepaths are widespread or well used. Seems contrary to intuition but true.
Im reluctant to automatically slag off the van driver without knowing the circumstances.
I went white when i was told about this poor cyclist....there but for the grace etc....”
