Companies hold talks to discuss the drought in the south east
WATER firms across the South East have teamed up to talk to councils about the drought.
Southern Water, South East Water and Veolia Water Southeast were among seven water companies which brought in the hosepipe ban on April 5. Their staff gave a joint presentation to members of various county, district and borough councils at Oakwood House, Maidstone, on May 3.
As well as an update on current resources, the presentation discussed the effect of the recent rainfall and gave details of the restrictions that are currently in place.
It also listed the various ways the three water companies were helping save water and what the guests could do to help.
