"Still as popular as ever but too rude for television, there are only two ways to see the 'most outrageous comedian in the world' – in his best-selling DVDs or at his live performances.

"If you are a fan, be sure to get a ticket soon as his shows will sell out. You can always rely on Roy 'Chubby' Brown to shock but never disappoint, but be warned – if you are easily offended please stay at home.

"If not, get practising the famous chant, we can't print it but we know you know what it is."

Brown is performing more than 50 UK tour dates this year but Folkestone is his only Kent stop.

The eccentric comic, known for his wacky stage costume which includes a flying helmet and goggles, has sold several million DVDs over the past 20 years.

He was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2002 and had a vocal cord removed, but the 67-year-old still tirelessly tours the country.

He has released an autobiography, Common as Muck: The Autobiography of Roy 'Chubby' Brown, and this year is set to appear as a talking lamppost in Robin Sheppard's film adaptation of Richard Milward's book Apples.

The show is strictly for over-18s only.

Tickets cost £22, excluding booking fees. To book call the LCH box office on 08448 713015 or visit www.leascliffhall.co.uk
