Circus comes to Ramsgate
CUE clowns, roll of drums and tumbling acrobats; John Lawson’s Circus is coming to town.
From Wednesday, March 10, a new big top will grace the Lord of the Manor circus ground and vibrate with klaxons, shrieks of delight and gasps of breath at the traditional family entertainment.
The Canterbury-based troupe features all the thrills and spills of a traditional circus and audiences can watch with their consciences clear – there are no animals in the show.
Ringmaster Attila Endresz (cor) is the fall guy for many a practical joke by The Popolinos clowns and presents the acts which include the Nevada western-style acrobats, Kremena wire walker and juggler and Claire-Marie who balances on swords and daggers.
Performances take place at 4.30pm and 7.30pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, March 10 to 12, at 2pm and 5pm on Saturday, March 13 and at 2pm on Sunday. All tickets cost £7 with a £2 reduction on the first day. They can be booked at the circus site near Manston Road, Ramsgate or by calling 07860 498833.
