WHITSTABLE choral society celebrates its 80th anniversary with a concert at Canterbury Cathedral.

It will be performing Mendelssohn's Elijah with the Festival Chamber Orchestra.

Dr David Flood, organist and master of Canterbury Cathedral Choristers, will be directing the concert.

Soloists include Emily Mitchell and Greg Tassell.

Whitstable Choral Society was formed in 1932 by Alfred Harrison, conductor at St Alphege Church. Now it boasts 120 members.
