Charity needs financial help for shot cat
CATS In Crisis animal charity is appealing for help with vet bills paid to save a cat that had been shot.
And the group has warned pet owners to beware of letting their pets roam after the animal was found near the swimming pool and Newington Road area of Ramsgate .

CIC's Mary Knott said: "Our financial problems carry on. Another is that a cat was shot in the head a couple of weeks ago.
"The owner was unable to meet any of the costs involved in the cat's treatment and we have picked up a bill of over £200. I would be so grateful if I could appeal to any readers for help."
Last month the charity asked for help with an unusual animal for a cat charity – a dog called Leo.
Leo was one of the non-felines the group, which incorporates Thanet Wildlife Rescue, helps. He needed a new home and an urgent operation on an arthritic shoulder deformity. CIC was able to find Leo new owners but not the surgery fees to give him a new lease of life. But following an appeal in the Thanet Times the cash has been rolling in.
Mary said: "I am delighted to say that we have received about £500 towards the £850 that the operation cost. I would like to convey our sincere gratitude to everyone who has contributed. Leo is now very happily settled in his new home, and with a lot of love and dedicated training is turning into a superbly well-behaved and affectionate family pet,"
