Top Gear's Richard Hammond made a dramatic landing in a helicopter on Tunbridge Wells Common this week.
The 39-year-old television presenter was filming a scene in the town for supermarket chain Morrisons' Christmas television commercial.

GOOD FUN: BBC2's Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond finds a ready smile while filming a Christmas television advert for Morrison's supermarket, at Calverley Grounds in Tunbridge Wells on Tuesday evening AH2909097/3
Part of Calverley Grounds was transformed on Tuesday with a blanket of fake snow, iced-topped trees, a fun fair and ice rink. On Wednesday the focus turned to the Pantiles for yet more filming involving the Hamster and his trolley.
It is believed fellow celebrity face of Morrisons, Denise Van Outen, will be filming in the Pantiles tonight.

“Well said, junkster. Why can't people be pleased that their town has been chosen as the location for a national company's TV advert?
And as for their store being closed down...surely the fact that it's been empty and available for so long just shows how unviable it is, as usually supermarket operators are falling over each other to open new stores. It it were a potential goldmine, they'd have kept it open themselves or someone else would've moved in by now.”

“We do have some grumpsters on here don't we!!
It was xmas come early for me and I loved every minute of it :-)
We should be proud that they chose our town for their filming.
I find it highly unlikely that TWBC and Targetfollow didnt earn some money for letting this all happen. That is great since the money they earn from elsewhere will reduce the chances of increased council tax / rents for us all.
As for those moaning about Morrisons leaving us high and dry it clearly was not financially viable to them therefore why should they keep it open at a loss just for your convenience?”

“It realy is adding insult to injury to use Tunbrighe Wells to advertise WAITROSE supermarkets. Thy closed our most convenient supermarket and left it as an empty building in the centre of town How dare they.”
