It took 18 seconds inside the national qualifying time and a staggering 37 seconds ahead of second place. Caitlin's performance placed her at the top of the ASA National Rankings.
Charlotte Chapman, 14, then improved on her programme ranking to take a well earned silver medal in her age group category, further adding to Monson's medal tally.
The fastest race was saved for last, where Monson were represented by Ladies team captain Beth Hathaway and Eve Carless at 16 and 17 years of age respectively.
Both swam well paced races with Hathaway taking bronze in the senior event and her own age group, but missed out on a National Youth Qualifying time by a minute 0.66 seconds.
Kim Longland, Director of Swimming at Monson was delighted with the swims.
"Our pacing was first class and I cannot fault the way anyone swam their races," she said. "Everyone did what I asked them to do and swam their own race according to our plan. Caitlin's performance was obviously the highlight and she swam a difficult race with a lot of maturity."
