​A WATCHDOG will investigate claims the district council allowed an erroneous development to go ahead.

Shepway District Council has taken no action over a development off Seabrook Road, insisting it is built to the height approved by councillors, but neighbours disagree and have reported the body to the Local Government Ombudsman.

Engineer David Barker, of Victoria Terrace, said: “The roofs of these buildings are two metres higher than those around them.
