Sports Day and Summer Fayre 23 June 2012
Brenchley Pre-school Limited are proud
to announce that their new premises will be officially opened on Saturday 23 June 2012 at 11am by
special guest Pui from CBeebies.
After nearly 50 years in the village
of Brenchley, the pre-school will be moving into newly refurbished permanent
premises alongside Brenchley & Matfield CE (VA) Primary School.
Early years education has changed
considerably since the pre-school first opened in 1964 and it has transformed
from a playgroup to an Outstanding OFSTED-rated early years educational
establishment.
Pre-school Manager Sian Scovell said "We
were extremely proud when OFSTED rated us Outstanding in every area. We hope to continue to progress further now
we have a permanent base for the children to make their classrooms their
own. The considerable amount of funding
raised for the alterations to the existing buildings has been made possible by
the pre-school committee's extensive fundraising and very generous support from
our parents/carers and staff."
The Grand Opening and Summer Fayre will
start with the cutting of the ribbon by the much loved CBeebies 'Show Me Show
Me' presenter Pui Fan Lee, followed by a tour of the new classrooms. The children will then participate in their
annual sports day races, and the annual Summer Fayre will start at 12.30pm.
The Summer Fayre is the highlight of
the pre-school's fundraising calendar and promises entertainment for all the
family with favourites such as the bottle tombola, hook-a-duck, the grand
raffle and home-made cakes and plants for sale.
Taster sessions of Baby Yoga and Baby Ballet will also be on offer and
Peppa Pig will be available for photographs with the children.
Committee Chair Melanie Milne adds "We
are delighted this year to welcome local author and actor Robert Walker who
will be holding a book signing at our Fayre.
Robert will be selling and signing copies of his popular children's
books 'Gemily the River Boat - Stories from the River' and 'Swifty Lazaar Private Detective and His Magical Flying
Toilet'.

Brenchley Pre-School Limited is a charity funded childcare
facility for children aged from 2 – 4 ½ years. The school caters for children
in Brenchley, Matfield, Pembury, Paddock Wood and surrounding areas.
