With Margate's home pre-season fixture against Kwesi Appiah's Crystal Palace still weeks away, advance ticket sales are closing in on 25 per cent of capacity at Hartsdown Park. With the club expecting a big crowd, Margate are continuing to encourage fans to buy their tickets in advance.

Margate CEO Cliff Egan said: "We are urging Margate and Crystal Palace supporters to buy their tickets in advance, to help smooth entry into the stadium, particularly for those travelling any distance to the game."

Home supporters can buy their tickets by calling into the club office during office hours, or like visiting supporters, they can order and pay for their tickets on line.

A number of tickets – the balance between advance sales and stadium capacity – will still be on sale on the gate on the night.
