We pitted adorable alsatians against cute collies, dashing dalmatians, lovely labradors and special spaniels.

Now the results can be revealed.
All won souvenir full-colour framed photographs from the Dographer, pet photographer Laurie Philp, and a certificate from us.
The canine competition was won by Katie, who is owned by Rachel Fagg, of Wealden Court, Canterbury.
The pair, in the middle of our photo, won a 20in by 16in wall poster of Katie, worth £275.
Second-placed pooch was Olli, owned by Lisa Grunsell, of Meadow Walk, Whitstable. They won a 16in by 12in poster, worth £90.
Third place was shared by Dexter, owned by Fran Abercrombie, of Globe Way, Whitstable, and Ollie, owned by Graham Crayden, of Sandend, The Oaze, Whitstable.
Both won a 10in by 8in photograph, worth £75.
The presentation was held at the competition's sponsors K9 Kindergarten, which is at unit 173 on the John Wilson Business Park, Chestfield.
More than 100 owners took their pets to photo shoots at Macknade in Faversham, Tankerton Slopes in Whitstable and the Victoria Recreation Ground in Canterbury last October.
Readers then voted for their favourite photo.
Dographer Laurie said: "The competition was about personality rather than breed. There were lots of characters."
